Figure skater Michelle Kwan has always trusted Vera Wang to make her look great for her figure skating performances, so it was only natural that Kwan chose Wang to make her most important outfit of all: her wedding dress. In an In Style article quoting a People Magazine interview, Wang described the silk organza and lace applique gown as “a new way of looking at tradition”, one with a certain dignity befitting the political ties of her now-husband Clay Pell, a director for strategic planning on the National Security staff at the White House.
